Dubler Studio Kit
Dubler Studio Kit is a real-time vocal recognition MIDI controller. It offers up a never seen before way to translate your musical ideas into reality, using the one instrument you’ve been practising since birth— the voice.
With Dubler Studio Kit you can hum a melody or synth pattern, beatbox to trigger a virtual drumkit, or manipulate effects and filters with a “hmmm”, “laaaa” or “oohhh” sound— all in real-time, and in any DAW.
"Digging it, hard! This is a very cool piece of gear for anyone who loves making music...This is the ground floor of a beautiful, less limited, world of production. Get involved!"

Ive had nothing but positive expirience with Dubler. I have been using it non stop and havent come across any issues. Love it and would recommend to every producer/music lover
First off, this is as promised a powerful voice to midi solution, and I often feel like a kid in a candy shop when I'm actually voicing songs. That said, there's a lot of work for users to be able to connect to their DAW and tweak settings to get it to do what you want, or something close. My hope is that in the future, there could be a partnership with a specific DAW to take out some of that pre-work, or maybe pre-configured settings for DAWs with open architecture to allow that sort of thing. Just to level-set, I'm an amateur musician of 45 years with gobs of tech experience and meager midi experience, so I don't pretend to know what's possible. Using the recommended settings, latency is not bad for capturing your ideas, might be tricky for live performances depending on your setup. Love all the pitch tools. One of the settings for pitch lets you set a pitch bend range, that setting gets you all kinds of squirrely sounds, so use wisely. It would be nice if the 4 controls dials had some conceptual intro or best practices recommendations before mapping, it's a lot to take in. Again, these are good problems to have. But for example, map out a few use cases for things like how to set up an organic sounding woodwind for the top 5 DAWs, and connect these with the forum so users can post related help too. I did have a note hang every once in a while, might be the DAW (Studio One), but a simple off for that instrument stopped it. I'm only about 3 full days worth of time into Dubler, so far so good...
I absolutely love it!!!!!!!
I use dubler since it came out on Kickstarter and since than have not reached the end of possibilities that this tool has.
It gives me the opportunity to create beats with a great possibility for a human feel.
Until I had dubler, i used „finger based“ controllers and these created kind of a gap between me and the music. With my voice, I’m in direct connection with the groove and can make intriguing grooves.
Another feature I use is the tone recognition part. Normally I play Cello, and with this device I can trigger software sounds together with my Cello. Which is a great tool!
In general, dubler is a very serious tool, but also something to play with and get new, unexpected results.
It’s time to put your thinking into melody.
With a little practice you can release your senses..
Ok, so admittedly, I didn't know how to use the Dubler at first because I just expected it to plug and go, meaning I could just start humming/singing and it would translate everything perfectly. I was wrong, but once I understood that you have to set a few parameters and actually PRACTICE using it, it was a breeze. It had helped out tremendously production-wise and I highly recommend it to anybody looking for something to help out with the strange melodies/rhythms that you have in your head, and with the new update, it's even easier to get into!
I've been using this for a couple months now, and it has really helped my work flow. Being able to hum/ sing my melodies makes it a lot easier being that I have little to no piano knowledge. I'm not using the drum triggering as much as i thought i would but its a great feature to have to keep tempo. The developers have been great at making updates and fixing bugs, thanks for this. looking forward to whatever else Vochlea has in store for the future
I'm always searching for software and hardware that will inspire my creative process. We live in a special time for music production, a time that shows small startups turn the market on its head with great and simple ideas. And it's happening at every hardware and software level in this industry. Smart and determined teams of people, push their ideas and concepts to the next level. None are simpler and greater than Vochlea's Dubler. An idea that should have been materialised a long time ago, is now available thanks to them. It's not perfect, but no sketch is perfect. Like any sketch, it needs polishing afterwards, to become a solid track. But it's value shines in inspiration and ease of use, even for those without prior musical knowledge. And even with it's drawbacks, like not picking up the perfect note on the chromatic scale, or sometimes (not many), misstriggering drums in beatbox session, its value is outstanding. That is why it deserves 5 full stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Hats off to the team behind this wonderful project.
I can finally put the ideas in my head to my songs because of you guys!!
Dubler Studio Kit
Dubler allows you to control midi with you mouth, nothing less. It is a great creative tool and the fact that you can either use humming, whistling or beatboxing as a source is incredible. I am a beatboxer myself and I am psyched by the possibility that open for me in my music production. A must have
This is a subsequently a new instrument
As time has changed so has the way music is made.
This is a touchstone for music innovation in and of itself.
It lends a hand to translating ideas to sonic material.
Its worth every penny to open your creative flow with no heavy previous experience required.
DUBLR is the ultimate tool in getting an idea into your DAW quickly, without the need to "translate" the idea to your instrument. Automating parameters with vowels can give any preset a more natural/human sound, and is only getting better with each update. I can't wait to see what the team does in the future.
Ive always dreamt of being able to convert my voice into midi and then Dubler came along
